Post Reunion Thanks

Thanks to everyone that came to the reunion! We hope everyone that was able to attend had a great time. And for those of you that missed out, we hope you can make it to the next one.

Details! Details! Details!

Party time! August 14th, 2010 is SVHS's Class of 2000 ten year reunion. Get ready to get down and jump around. Like this bobcat.

Here's a breakdown of the nights activities:

5 pm: Cocktail hour at The Elements lounge, right next to The Riverwoods.

6 pm: Doors open at The Riverwoods. Mingle and chat.

7 pm: Be in your seats! Official Welcome. Dinner is served.

8-10:30 pm: Catch up with friends, mingle, dance the night away.

Dress is business casual. There is a link to the Fairfield Inn at The Riverwoods website and the hotel's address in previous posts if needed.

Party Time!

A few details (and some requests):

1. Cocktail Hour! There will be a cocktail hour at The Elements Lounge starting at 5 pm. The lounge is conveniently located right next to the SpringHill Suites where the reunion will be going down. Grab a beverage, mingle, then stroll over to the party at 6:30.

2. Dress is business-casual. No need for tuxes, ties, or evening gowns, but dress to impress the ex. Save the daisy dukes and MMA T-shirts for The Derby.

3. Your ticket to the big party is the name tag that we will have for you at the door. No need to print out anything. Save a tree and just show up. If you pre-paid, you are in!

4. We still would love more pictures. Scan and send us a couple of your favorite pics from back in the day! The more braces, bowl cuts, and JNCOs the better.

5. If you know of any class members who have passed away since graduation, please let us know by emailing us at svhsy2k@gmail.com. Type something up about a few memories you have about them for others to read. A great way to remember those classmates that will only be with us in memory.

Note: There is a 50/50 chance the dancing will be as akward as the picture above...that's just what happens when you're pushing 30.

Five(ish) Decent Reasons to go to your SVHS Class of 2000 10 Year Reunion

5- Confirm you aren't the only one with less hair and more gut. Or more hair and less gut.

4 & ½- It's a good deal. $25 a ticket may seem pricey at first blush, but consider an alternative night on the town in The CV, which is about the cheapest place you can find in the continental United States:
Dinner at Le Chile's: $12
Sick Round of Bowling at Logan Lanes: $8
Ice Cream at Charlie’s: $5
That’s a ticket to your class reunion right there, plus you get all the bonuses of seeing old friends, foes, and all you can eat food at a classy establishment! Not saying that Chile’s isn’t classy...

4- Find out what's in the box. And by box, I mean the time capsule we put together at the end of our senior year. Don't worry, I had forgotten about it too.

3- Chance to reminisce with others that can truly understand about those educational giants from our formative years: Fife, The Wharton, Falslev (both of em), Zan B, Purdy and his time in 'nam, Coach Baldwin's poker face, Bird and her football helmet, Mullins and Bingham blowing stuff up, and that marching band director that called everybody "cheese".

2- Catch up with people face-to-face instead of just on facebook. Contrary to popular belief, there is something to be said about real human interaction as opposed to getting the latest update on someone’s Farmville exploits.

1- It is your 10 YEAR REUNION! It only comes once in your entire life, so seize the day, search the couch cushions for loose change, bargain bathroom cleaning duties with your significant other to get them to say yes, and join us for a night of music, memories, food, and fun!

Reunion Time!

Has it been 10 years already? Sky View High School Class of 2000 will be holding a 10 year class reunion on Saturday, August 14th, 2010. There will be several events during the day that will be announced in the future, so there should be something fun for everyone! Check back here for updates.
